The lies of Babylon

I call this section “the lies of Babylon", as in Revelation, chapter 17, it is written about a false religion from which all the nations were made drunk, and this false religion is called Babylon the Great (as all religions started with Babylon). The Roman Catholicism pretends to be the real church of Christ, but in fact in Revelation it is written exactly about it – “the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication”!  In this section I will show some of the lies of the Roman Catholic Church and of her daughters (which of course look a bit like their mother) – all the protestant churches, which adopted some of its teachings.  So, let’s see Revelation 17:1-5 and then you can read about some of the lies of the Catholic, Ortodox  and many Protestant churches (such as 7th day adventists, babtists, evangelists, Jehovah's witnesses and so on...). I believe that many people will “love” me after reading this section, but long before me they “loved” Jesus.

Revelation 17 chapter:  [1] And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: [2] With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. [3] So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. [4] And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: [5] And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

1. Easter is a christian holiday – this is a lie. It has pagan origins. Easter, Eastre or Eostre was a goddess of spring and fertility. A festival called Easter was celebrated during the spring equinox by the saxon people in the northern Europe.  The symbols were rabbit, eggs and temple prostitution. The real christian holiday is the Passover and it is documented in the Bible that was observed by the apostles and early Christians, like all other God’s festivals from Leviticus 23 chapter. Please read Cor. 5:7-8, Acts 12:1-3; 18:21; 20:6; 20:16.

2. Jesus crucified on Friday and resurrected on Sunday morning – this is a lie. Jesus said:” there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas.” (Matthew 16:4) "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." (Matthew 12:40). You cannot count three days and three nights from Friday afternoon (supposing Jesus death) to Sunday morning, before the sunrise. In order to find out the exact day of Jesus' death we need to know a few Bible facts:

* the new date starts with the sunset and finishes with the next sunset.

* the Bible does not say that Jesus was crucified on Friday, but it says that was on ‘the preparation day’ for the festival of Unleavened Breads.

* In Leviticus 23rd chapter are given seven High-day Sabbaths and they can occur on any day of the week. These Sabbaths are not the weekly Sabbath.

* The High Sabbath (Joan 19:31) that year did not occur during the weekly Sabbath, because Mark 16:1 speaks about the High Sabbath and Luke 23:55 speaks about the weekly Sabbath. Now we can easily come to the conclusion that there was a period between the two Sabbaths and that the preparation day (the Passover day) on which Jesus died was not Friday, but had to be Wednesday.

* Now we can count exactly three full days and three full nights from Wednesday evening to Saturday late afternoon before the sundown - according to Jonas’ sign.

* The order of events was:  1) Tuesday evening – Passover dinner or wrongly called ‘the last supper’. 2) Wednesday morning – crucifixion. 3) Wednesday late afternoon – Jesus’ death and burial. 4) Thursday – the day of Unleavened breads, which was High Sabbath, day of rest. 5) Friday - Marry and the other women bought and prepared spices and oils to anoint Jesus. 6) Saturday – weekly Sabbath - they took rest according to the law. 7) At the end of the day Jesus resurrected. 8) Sunday early morning (the first day of the week) – Marry Magdalene found the tomb of Jesus empty.

* Also check Daniel 9 : 27 –“ And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease”

3. Christmas is a christian holiday – this is a lie. The earliest pagan origins come from the Babylonian feast of the Son of Isis which was celebrated on the 25th December. Many centuries later the people in northern Europe celebrated the winter solstice, known as Yule, which was symbolic of the pagan Sun God, Mithras, being born, and was observed on the shortest day of the year. Again - the Festival of the God Sun was on 25th Dec as the days start to become longer on this date. The Bible does not mention the date of Jesus’ birth, neither Jesus ever asked his birthday to be celebrated. Also check Jeremiah 10:2-3 to learn about the origins of the ‘christmas tree’ - it was an idol.

4. The christian day of rest is Sunday, not Saturday (Sabbath) – this is a lie. Jesus never said that he changes the day of rest from the seventh to the first day of the week. The Pope did that. Jesus, the apostles and the early christians observed only Sabbath. Check Luke 4:16, Acts 13:14, 42, 44, 16:13, 17:2, 18:4 and Matthew 24:20. “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled” (. Matthew 5: 18).

5. The dietary law is not any longer valid, you can eat anything – this is a lie. It is very easy to prove that the Bible teaches the opposite. The dietary law (Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14) which tells us that certain animals are clean and others unclean for us was followed strictly by Jesus and the apostles, they never ate unclean animals (such as pork, cat fish, shrimps, prawns etc). Apostle Peter never had unclean meat (Acts 10:14). Nowhere in the scriptures you can find that Jesus removed the dietary law. You can find nowhere that it is only for the Hebrews and not for the gentiles too. One law for all humans.

6. There is a soul inside the man which continues to leave after the death – this is a lie. Actually the man himself is the soul “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2:7). When man dies, the soul dies. The last breath returns to God and the body goes back to the ground (Genesis 3:19, Job 27:3, Ecclesiastes 12:7, Psalm 104:29 ). The soul does not exist until its resurrection at “the last day” (John 6:38, 44, 54 and 11:24). ”While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being” (Psalm 146:2). Also see Psalm 6:5, Ecclesiastes 9:3, 10 and Job 14:10-12. Our consciousness does not exist without the body (Ecclesiastes 9:5). Man is the soul – Psalm 33:19, Leviticus 5:1-4 and 7:25-27.  The soul goes to the grave – Psalm 16:10, Acts 13:36. After the death, the soul does not go to heaven, because “David is not ascended into the heavens...” (Acts 2:34)

7. The Trinity (unity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit as three persons in one God head)

Before proving that the much loved of many Christians “Trinity” is a non-biblical doctrine which has its roots in the pagan religions and other man’s “philosophies”, it is more important to show the harms of this false teaching, as every lie does harm us in some way.

The word “Trinity” cannot be found anywhere in the Bible, but the popular version of the definition of the “Trinity” (or “The Holy Trinity”) is: “the union of three distinct coeternal and equal persons in one God”. The less popular is “only one person in one God but who is revealed as the Father or the Son or the Holy Spirit”. This one is the most absurd as it teaches about a being that sends itself to the earth, pray to itself, resurrects itself, who being in the very nature of itself, did not consider equality with... itself (Philippians 2:6)? No time shell be dedicated to comment on this version. The third version is not really a Trinity (Union in ONE GOD) – “three different persons and three different Gods forming the Trinity”, therefore here it shell be examined only the first version, basically: God the Father + God the Son + God the Holy Spirit = GOD. If you take out one of them there is no GOD (we will not ask what happened to the Trinity when Jesus was dead for 3 days and 3 nights)...

So “GOD” is a closed conception, according to this teaching. But how is that harming us?... That’s how - the biggest and the greatest message of the Bible is that the humans will join the family of God as they reach their full potential and become Gods – that cannot be fulfilled if “God = the union of the Father, the Son and the Spirit”, basically the resurrected beings will be just resurrected eternal... humans. But not Gods. They cannot enter this closed “Trinity God”!

Well, the angel Satan was probably envying this new creature that “the Gods created in their image and likeness” and therefore wanted to steal the glory from the men. After all, the angels are just ministering spirits sent to serve the man (Hebrews 1:14), but the whole heaven and earth and everything is created for the man.

What is so special in this creature and why ‘the Gods’ created it in their image and likeness (Genesis 1:26)? Before answering this question it is important to see who is inside this plural “Gods”, it is definitely more than one here. No one argues that the Father is God. The Son (Jesus) was God in the beginning (John 1:1, Isaiah 9:6, Micah 5:2, Hebrews 1:8) but then “being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God...took upon him the form of a servant... was made in the likeness of men” (Philip 2:6-7) and then he resurrected again as God (John 20:28 and Romans 9:5).

Jesus looks exactly like the Father (John 14:9, Hebrews 1:3). He is always sitting on the throne next to him (e.g. Psalm 110:1 and Revelation 22:1). When Jesus resurrected he did ascended with his glorified eternal body of God. He was called “the First Fruit of the dead”. Well, if the First Fruit is God, what will be the rest of the fruits? Or what is going to happen in the resurrection when we will practically be “brothers” of the Son of God (Hebrews 2:11) and when our body “be fashioned like unto his glorious body” (Philippians 3:21) an we will be “conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren” (Romans 8:29)  and “we shall be like him” (1 John 3:2) and “we shall also bear the image of the heavenly” (1 Corinthians 15:49) and “be partakers of the divine nature” (2 Peter 1:4)...? It is obvious that in the resurrection we will be Gods, like Jesus is (“the last Adam was made a quickening spirit” - 1 Corinthians 15:45). But if billions of humans in the resurrection become Gods, then “the unity of Father + Son + Spirit = God” cannot be true.

The Son (Jesus) and the Father have a form (body) they created the man in their image and likeness and the man will resurrect in the type of body that Jesus and the Father have. But what image has the Holy Spirit?... And where is written that he is God?

Some people give Acts 5:4 “...thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God” in connection to the 3rd verse before - “Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost”. But is this proof that the Holy Spirit is God? If you lie to the tax collector clerk, does it mean that he is a King, or it means that by lying to him, you are lying to the King with tax evasion? Other people give 1 John 5:7 – the famous added verse “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one” nowhere found in any of the early manuscripts we have. But even if we take the phrase “ARE ONE” in this verse, does not necessary proof the Trinity (or that the Holy Spirit is God) as Jesus prays to the Father in John 17:22 “that they may be one, even as we are one” – does this mean that all disciples are literally ONE disciple? ... Now -what about Mathew 28:19? Even if we accept its authenticity (which many scholars doubt) this verse does not give absolutely no explanation as to the exact relationship of the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. It can only raise questions on what is “the name” in which we are to be baptised. The name, by the way, is “Jesus” (Jesus came in his Father’s name - John 5:43 and Jesus sent the Spirit in his name - John 14:26). Others quote Isaiah 48:16 with a wrong order of the words in the second sentence “And now the Lord JHVH and His Spirit Have sent Me”, which doesn’t proof that the Spirit is God in any way, but it may be used to boost up the Trinity lie a bit, if we say that it shows Father + Spirit send Son (=Trinity). Not if we look at the correct order of the Hebrew text though...The order of the words in the second sentence in the original Hebrew text are:  “And now the Lord JHVH hath sent ME AND HIS SPIRIT.”  The same is in the Septuagint.  (Also no commas were used in the Hebrew text). We know from the scriptures that God sends the messenger Holy Spirit, not the opposite. Jesus is the one who sends him:  “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. ....13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”(John 16:7,13)

In the Old Testament Jesus (JHVH) also sent the Spirit to guide Israel:

Isaiah 63:9-10 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. 10 But they rebelled, and vexed his Holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.

Exodus 23:20-21 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. 21Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

Neemiah 9:19-20 Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go. 20 Thou gavest also thy good Spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.

So this “holy spirit” who guided Israel is a “holy angel” - clearly from the above scriptures.

It is always this hierarchy: FATHER tells JESUS who tells the SPIRIT (messenger angel). Here is another clear example:

Revelation 1: 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

We know that angels are called spirits - e.g. Acts 8:26, 29 (the angel is called Spirit) and Hebrews 1:14 (the angels are “ministering spirits”). In fact all angels on the Third Heaven and the Father and the Son – all are spirits and all are holy.

Others give Proverbs 8th chapter – “the wisdom” as the Holy Spirit...? But Proverbs 8th chapter is clear allegory – representation of abstract concept, such as the wisdom, giving it personality like the Church is symbolically represented in Song of Songs through the beloved woman of the Prince.

So there are no good arguments in support of either “Father + Son + Spirit = ONE GOD” or “God the Holy Spirit”. There are only TWO separate Gods (the Father and the Son) in the Godhead (the family of Gods) throughout the Bible, but the people have always dealt with ONE of them since the beginning – The Son (Jesus) , Jesus was the only ONE real God from all the “gods” on the earth in all times. No one will meet the Father until Jesus complete his job as “Alpha and Omega”, “the Beginning and the End” of the creation. Jesus teaches us that “no one has ever seen the Father or heard his voice” (John 5:37). We will see HIM when the Family of Gods reunited with the coming of the heavenly New Jerusalem with the Father (Revelation 21).

The Trinity is a non-biblical doctrine. Many pagan religions in Babylon, Egypt, India, and Greece had Trinities. An influence on the Christian Trinity had Plato’s philosophy (the three hypostasis of the ultimate substance - “the One”, “the mind - logos” and “the soul”, which later became “the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit).

God teaches us: “

Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High” (Psalm 82, John 10:34-35), the same way we can say that the caterpillar is a future butterfly.
